All
aluminum assemblies brazed using corrosive
chloride-based flux shall be tested for flux and
flux resides after flux removal. This test shall
consist of rinsing the assembly with deionized
or distilled water such that all areas of the
component are flushed and collecting a
representative sample of this rinse water. Five
percent by weight aqueous solution of silver
nitrate equal to one percent of the total volume
of the sample shall then be added to it in a
suitable, clean glass container. |
